San Pablo’s Marian Pilgrimage
April 14th – 24th, 2026
Let us unite in a journey of faith and devotion along the Marian Route, which will take us to the major shrines of Portugal, Spain, and France.
We will begin in Lisbon, a city deeply marked by Christian history, with visits to the Jerónimos Monastery, the Belém Tower, and the church where Saint Anthony of Padua was born. From there, we will travel to Fátima, one of the largest Marian shrines in the world, where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the three shepherd children. Here, we will spend intense days of prayer, visiting the Chapel of the Apparitions, the basilicas, and the Way of the Cross leading to the homes of the shepherds.
Our pilgrimage continues to Santiago de Compostela, the heart of medieval pilgrimage since the Middle Ages, where we will pray before the tomb of the Apostle James and take part in the Pilgrim’s Mass at the majestic cathedral. The journey will then take us to Burgos, with its magnificent Gothic cathedral and the Monastery of Las Huelgas Reales, both closely linked to the Way of Saint James.
In Loyola, we will enter the birthplace of Saint Ignatius, founder of the Society of Jesus, to gain a deeper understanding of his spiritual legacy. From there, we will continue to Zaragoza, where we will venerate Our Lady of the Pillar, patroness of Spain, at the shrine built on the site where, according to tradition, the Virgin Mary appeared to the Apostle James.
The pilgrimage will culminate in Lourdes, where the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette in 1858. In this sanctuary of hope and consolation, we will experience profound moments of prayer at the Grotto of the Apparitions, the basilicas, and during the candlelight processions that illuminate the night with faith and hope.
Finally, we will return to Lisbon, concluding our spiritual journey with the certainty of having walked as Church, accompanied by the Virgin Mary, the saints, and the apostles who continue to mark the living history of the Christian faith.
